Supercell thunderstorms, noted by their rotating updraft, are the largest, strongest, and most uncommon of all thunderstorm types. Even more uncommon are the tornadoes that supercells produce. I have spent countless hours deriving and working with multi-variable calculus equations that describe precisely how supercells form and produce tornadoes. The math works, and is quite clear. I find it lacking. Sometimes forecasts just don't pan out. Life has its random elements that can't be accounted for. Something is happening within these storms that can't be distilled into an equation written on paper.
This piece attempts to capture the reality I experience in these storms, beyond sight, sound, and physical sensation. To me, these storms bridge the objective world with the world of dreams.
